Two weeks ago, the ladies behind Mariela Censabella, Vicky and Mariela, invited me to their showroom to get to know a little bit more about their brand. There I found myself surrounded by any women's dream: shoes everywhere. Slippers, creepers, wedges and flats are their only style of produced shoes so far but they are planning on expandind to the high heel market pretty soon.

The brand started last year in December when Mariela, designer and owner of the name, was incuraged by her friends and organized a little get together with 20 pairs exclusively for people she knew, and from that point everything grew so fast and in big steps that today she sells her designs in 2 local stores and different shops around the province, besides her showroom where you can get personalized customer care.

Thank you so much to Vicky and Mariela for the invite, and if you stick close to the Fan Page of the blog and are from Rosario, there will be a little suprise for you if you want to get a pair of your own.

Yesterday, I was kindly invited to the pre-opening of a new edition of Vinos de Lujo Rosario (it translates as Luxury Wines Rosario), an event of premium wines that started 10 years ago in Buenos Aires and was brought to the city 3 years ago by Simposium and Sica Toscani at the Pullman Hotel in City Center Rosario Hoteal & Casino. More info in its website.

From wine tasting of more than 200 labels to amazing gastronomic products such as the delicious bread production from the Hotel's own restaurant D'Jembé, going through credits to play at the Casino next to it, it was a really fun day with my fellow blogger Celi De Francesco, who I want to thank her for all these photos (since I don't have my own camera right now). You can see more in the next few days in her lovely blog, Modapolita.

Since it was a wine tasting event, very masculine in my opinion, I decided to choose an outfit that fitted in that theme but softening it with the transparency. The best part was that it was the perfect opportunity to wear the bow tie I wanted to use for so long!

We've already seen several toys inspired by famous designers, but this time fashion houses like Alexander McQueen, Prada, Burberry, Balenciaga, Versace and Gucci are some of the 30 brands that designed their own 24-inch Pudsey Bear to be auctioned on November 15th at Christie's, donating all the profits to BBC Children in Need. The collection curated by Love magazine editor Katie Grand will also have 10-inch reductions of some of the bears to sell to the fashionista crowd that want to have their own Tom Ford bear look alike, just to name an example.

Celebrating Mother's day,  I want to highlight those mothers that most of us all know: Celebrities. I don't like that much using them as referents in the posts of this blog but today is the perfect day to honor the makers of the most famous Mini Fashionistas in the world.

Last post about Estilo Rosario 2012's coverage. This time I walked around with the camera in my hand hunting for the trends carried by the people who attended. High heels, platforms, bags in every shape (Cambridge's Satchel Bags look-alikes were really popular!), prints, embroidery, metalics, neon, sequins and above all, lots of color. The trends that people wore, next:

Digital Prints have always existed in the fashion world but nowadays thanks to the technology advances there is no limit for what you want tol put on you. Down from the runway, the big designers have been invading the spotlight all around the world with bold and vibrating prints that can keep you awake for days just by looking at them.

But there's a name that stands out in between them all: Mary Katrantzou. She is a greek designer that had embraced this technique and is now the Queen of it standing out from all the big names in fashion, celebrities and socialité. Mary has based her collections on perfume bottles, artisan blown glass, eighteenth century society paintings, and interiors while keeping the printed image central to her aesthetic.

It's simple math: bright colors plus complex morphology equals amazing prints.

Ever wondered what a fashion show backstage scene is like? I did and many times so when Alto Rosario invited me to get to meet the whole experience of Estilo Rosario, a big kind of anxiety began to shape in me. Tall and pretty models, hair stylists, make up artists, clothes, clothes and more clothes (asking me to take them home), shoes, bags, cool people, trends, food, drinks, lights, laughter, voices through the megaphone, ironing machines, combs (lots of them), boxes, bags, little bags, even smaller bags... All of this was part of this amazing experience of being inside this fashion ecosystem for a while. Enjoy!
